Rob Delamater draws on his fascination with early civilizations to create lyrical profiles of ancient Greek and Roman pottery. Working in weathered earth tones atop a milky-white ground, the artist repeatedly builds up the surface of the painting with brushstrokes then breaks it down again to evoke the patina of history and spirit of archeological excavation.
