An exploration of liminal states, The Clientele gives form to the sensation of standing in between – between collapse and stability, concealment and exposure. The textured canvas is built with layers of sand gel, paint and watercolor, then scraped back to reveal residual marks. Dark, vertical forms act as architectural anchors juxtaposed with the raw, imperfect light at the center, hinting at quiet endurance.
